Job Description

As a Sales Development Representative, you will be responsible for expanding the seller pipeline and meeting the needs of buyers on Whatnot. You will be expected to quickly learn and be a self-starter, energized by interacting with people, solving problems, and finding potential sellers for Whatnot. This includes understanding the sales process, prospecting and qualifying sellers, identifying their needs, and developing relationships to drive business growth. The role involves a fast-paced growth environment with opportunities for advancement. This role is based in the US, requiring team members to be within 50 miles of the Los Angeles or New York City hubs.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

💻 Role 

As a Sales Development Representative, you’ll be responsible for growing our seller pipeline and ensuring that we meet the needs of our buyers on Whatnot. You're a fast learner and a self-starter energized by talking to people, solving challenges, and finding the next big sellers to bring onto Whatnot!

  • Deeply understanding our end-to-end sales process and collaborate with the team to bring high potential sellers to Whatnot
  • Prospect, identify, and qualify top sellers that are a good fit for Whatnot
  • Identify seller needs and solve for gaps with creative outreach strategy & discovery including, but not limited to: email copy, warm/cold calls, social media outreach, and in-person events
  • Develop relationships with sellers and work with other internal teams to drive growth for the business
  • Grow into Sales Manager roles or other opportunities in the business by working on a fast paced growth team

US Based:

Team members in this role are required to be within 50 miles of our Los Angeles or New York CIty hubs.

💰Compensation

For Full-Time (Salary) US-based applicants: $80,000-$90,000 + benefits + equity.

The salary range may be inclusive of several levels that would be applicable to the position. Final salary will be based on a number of factors including, level, relevant prior experience, skills, and expertise. This range is only inclusive of base salary, not benefits (more details below) or equity.
