Job Description

Zscaler is seeking an experienced Sales Development Representative to join their Sales Development team in Japan. The role involves researching and prospecting into organizations through various channels to generate early-stage pipelines. Responsibilities include qualifying leads and scheduling appointments with key decision-makers by utilizing inbound and outbound leads. The representative will also be responsible for maintaining accurate customer and prospect information in the CRM system. Zscaler is a global leader in cloud security, protecting thousands of enterprise customers and accelerating digital transformation. We're looking for an experienced Sales Development Representative to join our Sales Development team in Japan. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Sales Development, you'll be responsible for:

  • Researching and prospecting into organizations by emailing, calling, networking and other creative means to lead early stage pipelines
  • Qualifying and scheduling well qualified appointments with main decision makers within "targeted" companies through inbound and outbound leads
  • Utilizing the CRM to maintain accurate activity, contact, and account information of all customers and prospects

What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
  • Customer-oriented background required (sales, support, customer service)
  • Skills in account development, opportunity qualification, pre-call planning, call structure/control, or time and territory management

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience with CRM systems (preferably salesforce.com)
  • Experience in outbound-focused sales position
  • Good Verbal communication skills in business English
