Job Description

The Sales Support Specialist is responsible for supporting the sales team in their efforts to pursue new customers and service existing customers by coordinating administrative tasks needed to manage workflow throughout the plant. They will maintain frequent communication with customers and account managers to help troubleshoot problems. This role requires creativity and relies on pre-established guidelines. The specialist will work closely with account managers, communicate with sales, design, estimating, and production teams, and maintain customer relationships.
Must have:
  • High school graduate with some college preferred.
  • Minimum two years of customer service experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of office equipment (computer, scanner, etc.).

Job Details

The Sales Support Specialist is responsible for supporting the sales team in their efforts to pursue new customers and service existing customers by coordinating administrative tasks needed to manage workflow throughout the plant. Provides support to customers and account managers by maintaining frequent communication with both and by helping troubleshoot problems. Works under general supervision; a certain degree of creativity and latitude is required; relies on pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.


Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with account managers to comply with customer requests and to solve customer problems.

  • Maintains frequent communication with sales, design, estimating, and production teams to ensure the customers' needs are being met.

  • Maintains a positive relationship with customers.

  • Corresponds regularly with customers about bids, orders, deliveries, and other inquiries related to their business.

  • Administrative duties that include but are not limited to downloading of construction plans, submitting bid requests, organizing and maintaining customer and work-flow records, attending pre-design meetings. 

  • Manages and tracks customer change orders.

  • Assists in setting up new accounts, including requests for credit terms and approval.

  • Verifies frame starts and durations, informing all parties about schedule changes.

  • Assists in AR by managing projects’ SOV.

  • Compiles monthly draws, notarizes, and submits to customers via email/Procore/Textura.

  • Provides sales and cost analysis to ensure jobs are performing.

  • Attends customer events when available.

  • Acts as the point of contact for account managers while they are in the field, traveling, on vacation, or time off.

  • Prepares various reports or correspondence as required.

  • Supports Site Built West RVP, RSM, RISM with special projects, as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of high school graduate, with some college or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

  •  Minimum two years of experience in customer services, preferred.

  • Construction or building products industry knowledge a plus.

  •  Working knowledge and proficiency in the use of computer and business-related software, including Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).

  • Working knowledge of various office equipment (computer, scanner, etc.).

Compensation & Benefit Information:
Hourly Pay Range: $24.00-28.00 per hour
 

Bonus/Incentive Pay: A discretionary (quarterly or annual) bonus based on Company and business unit performance may also be provided.
