Haleon is a leading consumer health company with a portfolio of trusted brands like Sensodyne, Advil, and Centrum. They are seeking a Sales & Use Tax Manager for their North America region. This role acts as an Indirect Tax subject matter expert and project manager, responsible for driving tax transformation, technology, and process improvement initiatives. The manager will oversee the service delivery of tax outsourcing providers, resolve issues with compliance partners, and keep stakeholders informed of risks and challenges. Key responsibilities include managing the Repeatable Growth Model process, leveraging data and analytics to understand consumer behavior, and performing analyses across various RGM model levers.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • 3+ years of experience in US Sales & Use Tax
  • Knowledge of accounting systems (e.g., SAP)

The Sales & Use Tax Manager serves as the Indirect Tax process subject matter expert and project manager for the North America region. This role is responsible for identifying and leading tax transformation, technology, and process improvement initiatives; actively monitoring the delivery service of the tax outsourcing provider; resolving issues encountered by the Compliance Partner; and keeping tax stakeholders informed of risks, mitigation strategies, and ongoing challenges.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career.  These responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Manage the Repeatable Growth Model process across one or more of the following workstreams: Meaningful & Distinctive Brands, Category Driving Range & Innovation, Expert & Advocate Recommended and Out Execute: Visible & Accessible

  • Drive and be responsible for the drumbeat and progress for assigned workstreams

  • Leverage data and analytics to better understand consumer behavior and identify opportunities for the given workstreams, working closely with the North America RGM Lead, RGM Managers and other subject-matter experts (e.g., offshore analytics, CBIA, Media)

  • Provide hands-on support, challenge the BU teams and help reach aligned recommendations, together with the North America RGM Lead

  • Perform bespoke analyses across the different workstreams and levers of the RGM model

  • Drive solution design and assess financial upside, roadmap and enablers of identified initiatives

  • Build workshop support and help manage plenary and breakout sessions

  • Ensure consistent deployment of the RGM approach, process and analyses

  • Capture new learnings on approach/deployment across North America RGM projects

This is a hybrid position requiring on-site presence in Warren, NJ for three days each week.

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting

  • 3 + years’ experience in a US Sales & Use Tax related role

  • Knowledge of Accounting systems (e.g. SAP)

  • Aptitude for technology

  • Proven ability to identify and resolve problems, demonstrable critical thinking capability

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with and influence customers remotely

  • Ability to work in culturally diverse teams and reconcile cultural differences to successfully deliver services

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Puerto Rico and Canadian Indirect Tax experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
