Job Description
The role requires designing and building efficient and scalable data models and calculation views in SAP HANA. The developer will be responsible for translating business requirements into HANA data models, collaborating with BI, reporting, and application teams, optimizing views for performance, and maintaining data integrity. They will also create and manage HANA artifacts, perform data validation, testing, and support QA and production environments, and stay updated on SAP HANA capabilities and performance tuning techniques.
Good To Have:

About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled SAP HANA Views Developer to design and build efficient, scalable data models and calculation views in SAP HANA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data modeling, SQL scripting, and SAP’s in-memory architecture, with a focus on delivering performant solutions for analytics and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain SAP HANA information models, including Attribute Views, Analytic Views, and Calculation Views (Graphical and SQL Script-based).
- Translate business requirements into efficient HANA data models using best practices.
- Collaborate with BI, reporting, and application teams to integrate HANA models into SAP and non-SAP front-end tools (e.g., SAC, BW, Tableau).
- Optimize views for performance and maintain data integrity across data layers.
- Create and manage HANA artifacts (procedures, table functions, CDS views if applicable).
- Perform data validation, testing, and support for QA and production environments.
- Work closely with functional and technical teams to understand and resolve data issues.
- Stay up to date on SAP HANA capabilities, roadmap, and performance tuning techniques.
Required Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of experience working with SAP HANA, including native HANA modeling.
- Strong SQL and SQLScript expertise.
- Proficiency in developing complex Calculation Views (graphical and scripted).
- Experience with data provisioning tools such as SDI, SDA, or SLT.
- Understanding of performance optimization techniques (e.g., use of CE functions, union pruning, filters, input parameters).
- Familiarity with SAP BW/4HANA or S/4HANA data structures is a plus.
- Ability to interpret ER diagrams and translate them into HANA models.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Power BI, or Tableau.
- Knowledge of SAP Data Warehouse Cloud (DWC) or SAP BTP.
