Job Description

As a Senior Scrum Master, you'll lead a team in designing and documenting business requirements for a large-scale digital archive project. This greenfield project will replace existing archiving solutions and create a single point of truth for document workflows, handling petabytes of data. Responsibilities include contributing to solution documentation, ensuring traceability from business requests to application functions, and fostering collaboration across disciplines. The technology stack involves Scala, Kafka, Akka, and other functional programming tools. Experience in business/system analysis, particularly within banking, is crucial.

Must have:

Certified Scrum Master (4+ years experience)
3+ years business/system analysis (banking preferred)
Strong ETL experience
Excellent communication & analytical skills
Object-oriented design understanding

Good to have:

Archiving domain experience
Banking process understanding
Integration architecture knowledge
UML, data flow, ERD diagram creation

Project description

Information and Document Systems is a global technology change and delivery organization comprising nearly 200 individuals located mostly in Switzerland, Poland, Singapore and Pune. Providing global capturing and document processing, archiving and retrieval solutions to all business divisions focusing on supporting Legal, Regulatory and Operational functions. At the moment developing strategic greenfield project to build large-scale digital archive for documents and records, that will gradually replace all existing archiving solutions in the bank, and to build an operational document store, that should become a single point of truth for document workflows. The whole system must scale linearly, be fault-tolerant, and handle petabytes of data.

Technologies used:
• 100% Scala using Functional Programming (FP),
• Event Driven Architecture with Kafka as event store and Kafka Streams for event streaming,
• Reactive streams for streaming data over HTTP: Akka HTTP/Streams,
• Non-blocking concurrency: Akka, Monix,
• FP abstractions: Cats,
• Developed by several teams using Kanban

Responsibilities

Leading a Scrum Team, you will contribute to the design and documentation of business requirements, covering regulatory and legal archiving applications in addition to operational functionality to deliver end to end solutions to our stakeholders. The creation of the solution documentation strengthening of the systematic traceability from business request to application function is a vital part of the work. Teamwork and cross-discipline collaboration is essential.

Skills

Must have

Certified Scrum Master with minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience

Have 3+years' experience in business\system analysis, preferably in banking industry

Strong understanding of IT Technologies

Hands on ETL Experience

Excellent communication skills

Ability to form strong relationships with IT and Business

Have strong analytical skills

Object oriented design

Open minded and self-motivated

High level of competence in verbal and written English

Have very good understanding of business as well as technical language

Nice to have

Experience in the Archiving Domain

Experience of banking processes

Understanding of integration architecture

Create UML diagrams, data flow diagrams, ERD (diagrams)
