Security Engineer, Detection, Security Surveillance

The Security Surveillance team (SST) at Google monitors the company's network and systems for threats to information security. As a Security Engineer, you will be responsible for identifying security issues, implementing and designing security controls, tools, and services to improve security systems and processes. You will also participate in a 24/7 global operation that hunts for and responds to security events on Google's networks. Your role will involve performing investigations on a wide variety of events from various sources to determine whether they pose a threat to Google. You will also collaborate with teams from around Google to discover new detection capabilities and logging sources. Additionally, you will create and develop new tooling to enable scaling of detection capabilities.
