The position

Have you always dreamed of working on an MMO? Are you a 3D Artist with several years of experience and want to combine an interest in horses with working on a worldwide title enjoyed by millions. Then this is the role for you!

We are now on the lookout for a Senior 3D Artist to join our horse team. You will be working closely with our art team to create amazing new horses, variations, and other 3D and texture assets for the game Star Stable Online. The level of care and detail we put into our horses are second to none and we see that you share that passion for details. If you are not a horse-nerd already, prepare to become one!

Responsibilities

• Deliver the requested assets following the required quality, determined by our Art Director in the Style guide.

• Work cross-disciplinary and contribute to the projects with your insights and ideas.

• Be creative within constraints: being able to combine optimization of your assets with high quality hand painted art.

• Create high-quality, optimized, game-ready meshes and textures.

• Take part in numerous updates and projects and see firsthand how the players react to the art you created for them.

• Work with our inhouse game-editor, implementing characters and assets.

• Actively seek out feedback on their own work.

• Collaborate actively with other crafts (Animation, Devs, Game Designers), keeping the necessary communication to warranty a smooth and efficient process.

We think you have

• 5 years of games industry experience and a degree in 3D animation

• Have experience in animals and/ or creatures modeling

• Experience working with game-optimized assets

• Knowledge in Adobe Photoshop, Substance painter, 3Ds Max and/or Maya.

• An interest in hand painted styles - you love to seek new inspiration from other artists working with similar art styles.

• Modelling and texturing skills.

• A positive attitude to work within limited resources. You are creative and find new ways to work. Having good skills when it comes to colors and compositions are core skills for this role.

• Are used to working with feedback, know the importance of sharing work in progress and communicate with stakeholders
