N-iX Game & VR Studio is seeking a Senior 3D Environment Artist to create high-quality assets, assemble scenes, and manage lighting within game engines like UE4/5. The role involves optimizing objects within technical constraints, collaborating with other artists, and adhering to project art styles. The artist will work with the team lead, requiring strong modeling, texturing, and problem-solving skills. This position is within a team of 100+ professionals, providing AAA-quality game assets and VR solutions. The artist will need to understand PBR pipelines, interpret concepts, and follow modern pipelines and technical limitations for creating an environment.
Must have:
  • Experience with UE4/5
  • Strong modeling and texturing skills
  • Good understanding of composition and lighting
  • Proficiency in 3dsMax/Maya/Blender, Photoshop, Substance Painter, etc.
  • Ability to rationally distribute polycount
  • Understanding different UV types
  • Knowledge of modern pipelines
Good to have:
  • Knowledge of Houdini, blueprints in UE4
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Passion for games

We are currently looking for an experienced Senior 3D Environment Artist.

Responsibilities:

  • Creation of high-quality assets with given concepts and requirements
  • Match the required art style of a project. 
  • Work with game engines (EU45), assemble scenes, and lighting setup
  • Optimize the finished objects in accordance with the specified technical limitations
  • Cooperate with other artists to streamline the art creation process
  • Work with the team lead to create a plan and schedule

Required Skills:

  • Experience with UE4/5;
  • Good understanding of composition and lighting;
  • Good knowledge of gameplay and level design;
  • Strong knowledge of 3dsMax/Maya/Blender, Photoshop, Substance Painter,  Substance Designer, Marmoset Toolbag;
  • Strong modeling and texturing skills;
  • Ability to rationally distribute polycount at the facility;
  • Understanding different UV types (tiles, rectangular, UDIM)
  • Good understanding of PBR pipelines for texturing;
  • Ability to follow and correctly interpret the concept;
  • Ability to create 3D models from a photo or a drawing;
  • Knowledge of modern pipelines and technical limitations for creating an environment
  • Strong portfolio showing 3D art skills;
  • Good organization, time management, problem-solving, and communication skills;
  • Familiarity with a game development cycle;
  • Ukrainian language, Advanced or higher.

As a plus:

  • Knowledge of Houdini, blueprints in UE4
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Passion for games
