About Polygon Labs

Polygon Labs is a software development company building and developing a network of aggregated blockchains via the AggLayer, secured by Ethereum. As public infrastructure, the AggLayer will bring together user bases and liquidity for any connected chain, and leverage Ethereum as a settlement layer. Polygon Labs has also contributed to the core development of several widely-adopted scaling protocols and tools for launching blockchains, including Polygon PoS, Polygon zkEVM, and Polygon Miden, which is in development as well as Polygon CDK.

Your Role

As a Senior Accountant at Polygon, you will support the Finance and Accounting team in maintaining the books and records of the Polygon Companies.​ You will be directly involved with account reconciliations, month end close, process improvement, technical accounting and ad hoc requests.

Your Responsibilities

  • Execute month-end close processes, including but not limited to, preparation of journal entries, account analyses and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts within a complex entity structure

  • Assist Accounting Manager in documenting and researching complex technical accounting topics 

  • Provide oversight to AP Team members for GL coding on an ongoing basis

  • Oversee the correct coding and compliance with respect to out of pocket and credit card policy

  • Coordinate with external accounting and advisory firms on ad-hoc tasks as assigned by management

  • Identify and implement process improvements within accounting operations


What You'll Need
