Senior Accountant (BKS - 07122401)

We are searching for an experienced Senior Accountant to join a US based accounting firm. This role will be responsible for providing bookkeeping, accounting, and financial analysis support to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of and experience working with QuickBooks Online. Our clients include mostly service oriented companies like medical professional services, plastic surgeons, restaurants, construction, etc. You will be expected to handle 10-15 accounts at one time.

Responsibilities

• Bookkeeping:
• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, and account reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Financial Statement Preparation:
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements (income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements).
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and potential issues.
• Tax Preparation:
• Assist with tax preparation and filing, utilizing Thompson Reuters software.
• Accrual Accounting:
• Manage accrual accounting processes, including depreciation and amortization.
• Debt Management:
• Oversee debt management activities, including loan payments and interest calculations.
• System Utilization:
• Proficiently utilize QuickBooks Online and Desktop.
• Gain proficiency in Reach Reporting for consolidations and a cash flow tool.
• Explore the potential of Jirav for budgeting and forecasting.
• Team Collaboration:
• Participate in weekly team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and best practices.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and efficient operations.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field (CPA-level) with at least 5+ years of experience.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

• Fully remote work in EST hours, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
