Job Description

The Senior Analyst position on the Strategy team is a unique, critical, and visible role at Activision. This generalist business strategy position reports to our CFO, focusing on identifying opportunities and delivering against key strategic priorities for Call of Duty and other franchises. Projects include long-term planning, go-to-market strategy, platform strategy, regional initiatives, product feature recommendations, and new business model evaluations. The role requires driving strategy, organizational, and operations-related projects, deconstructing ambiguous problems, conducting rigorous analyses, and synthesizing insights into executive-ready presentations. A deep understanding of game franchises and market dynamics is essential.

Senior Analyst, Strategy

Your Mission

The Senior Analyst position on the Strategy team is a unique, critical, and visible role at Activision. This is a generalist business strategy position that plays a key role on a high-caliber team that reports to our CFO. Your job is to ensure our business is identifying opportunities and delivering against key strategic priorities for Call of Duty and other franchises. Sample projects include long-term planning, go-to-market strategy, platform strategy, regional initiatives, product feature recommendations, and evaluation of new business models.

Priorities may often change in a dynamic and fast-paced environment such as ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following key responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in Activision’s long-term strategic planning processes (e.g., Activision Publishing, Call of Duty, Emerging Franchise)
  • Drive strategy, organizational, and operations-related projects by partnering across publishing functions and development studios
  • Deconstruct ambiguous problem statements into actionable project plans by utilizing hypothesis-based problem solving
  • Conduct rigorous qualitative and quantitative analyses utilizing internal and external data sources to understand implications for Activision and our game franchises
  • Synthesize insights and recommendations into succinct, executive-ready presentations to support VP & SVP-level decision-making
  • Develop a deep understanding of how our game franchises operate, the markets they play in, their strategic priorities, and potential opportunities

Player Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree and experience in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, or corporate development/strategy at a leading TMT company.
  • Exceptional quantitative skills and financial acumen
  • Persuasive communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
  • Self-starter and comfortable with ambiguity; must be self-directed and proactive starting day 1 on the job
  • Interest and passion for interactive entertainment and technology with the ability to learn complex industry topics quickly

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $92,920.00 - $171,814.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed. While we strive to provide competitive offers to successful candidates, new hire compensation is negotiable.
