At Bally’s Interactive, we consider our Technology team to be the beating heart of the business. Our team is the driving force behind the powerful platforms that house all Bally’s Interactive brands and ventures. The incredibly diverse talents that make up our Technology teams include disciplines and skills such as Software Development, Architecture, QA, and Machine Learning.

As a Senior Android Developer, you will be expected to and be able to evaluate upcoming new technologies and Android SDK improvements: determine if and how they affect our apps, investigate what opportunities they present, with practical prototypes with the assistance of Bally's Interactive Design and UX experts. An enthusiasm for learning new skills and helping us to improve working practices is highly desirable. 

So, what will you be doing?

• Delivering and maintaining new and existing Apps using Kotlin and Android UI Toolkit/Jetpack Compose.
• Helping the team define development best practices and provide coaching for Junior developers.
• Helping the team understand why we should use certain patterns and tools rather than just how.
• Ensuring that impediments of any kind are escalated, and pragmatic long-term solutions pursued.
• Delivering of high quality well tested software that meets agreed requirements.
• Collaborating with other Android developers, testers, and other teams working on front-end/back-end tasks.
• Supporting and promoting Agile practices/SCRUM. 

And what are we looking for?

• Have extensive experience in Android app development using Kotlin.
• Have experience with modern frameworks such as Jetpack Compose and Kotlin coroutines.
• Be experienced with dependency injection (e.g.: Dagger2, Hilt).
• Be proficient in Android SDK, Android Studio, and Gradle.
• Possess exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Be experienced with Agile methodologies such as Scrum.
• Have expertise in unit testing, instrumented testing, and continuous integration.
