Job Description

The Mortgage Pricing team seeks a passionate Senior Angular Developer to drive transformation projects across Development, UAT, and Production. This role involves developing and enhancing front-end functionality for risk and pricing, applying Angular/HTML5/UI expertise to design and implement solutions. Collaboration with US-based teams is key, requiring adherence to agile processes, coding standards, and timely task delivery. The successful candidate will build real-time user interfaces within a financial services context, working with existing architecture and tools. The team consists of two Angular developers and two Java developers.

Must have:

8+ years UI dev exp in Financial Services
3+ years Angular development
Kafka, SQL, Elastic Search knowledge
GIT, CI/CD familiarity
Agile development experience
Real-time UI development in Financial Services

Good to have:

Mortgage, bond trading, risk, or price capture systems familiarity

Project description

We're looking for a talented and passionate Developer to join our Mortgage Pricing team. The successful candidate will help drive transformation projects of our environment across Development / UAT and Production. Our plan is to build a small team of 2 Angular and 2 Java developers in Canada that will collaborate with US-based team

Responsibilities

Develop and enhance functionality in the Risk and Pricing front end.

Apply subject matter expertise in Angular/HTML5/UI principles to design and implement solutions according to requirements and specifications given by business analysts.

Work within existing architecture, coding standards and tool sets in order to deliver software that is supportable across the global team.

Follow the team's agile processes and take responsibility for delivery of tasks on schedule.

Skills

Must have

8+ years of experience in UI development for large scale projects for financial services.

3+ years of experience in developing solutions using the Angular framework.

Able to work with virtual and in-person teams, and work under pressure or to a deadline.

Knowledge of Kafka, SQL, Elastic Search or similar cache.

Very familiar with GIT and CI/CD tools.

Familiar with event driven architectures and the use of micro-services.

Has worked in an Agile development process.

Proven track record of building real time user interfaces in a Financial Services context.

Nice to have

Familiarity with mortgages, bond trading, risk, or price capture systems
