Senior Applications Developer

We are seeking a Senior Applications Developer to join our team at Marsh. This role will be based in Mexico City. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. As a Senior Applications Developer at Marsh, you will be responsible for maintaining high coding standards that reflect Marsh Tech's dedication to excellence.

We will count on you to:

• Design, develop, and enhance web solutions using the MEAN framework, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of our clients and stakeholders.
• Implement RESTful and SOAP web services, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and efficient.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to industry best practices and coding standards.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to colleagues to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and performance tests to ensure the reliability and stability of web services.
• Work closely with product managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

What you need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience 
• Minimum 5 years of full-stack development experience using the MEAN framework including: MongoDB, Node.js, Angular, JavaScript
• Relational database experience
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs, including authentication and authorization mechanisms (e.g., JWT, OAuth).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues.
• Proficiency with speaking and writing in English is required.
• Expertise in Agile Methodologies
