Senior Applied Scientist

Join the Azure GenAI team, the innovators behind the Phi3/Phi3.5 models and Azure OpenAI models. We are expanding our presence in Cairo and are at the forefront of developing cutting-edge models. We are seeking Applied Scientists with a strong blend of software development skills, building, and experimentation.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering. 

• Master’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant equivalent practical experience. 

• 3+ years of experience in generative AI and large language models (LLM). 

• Proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with frameworks such as PyTorch. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Experience in developing machine learning models at scale with product driven mindset. 

• A PhD in AI, Computer Science, or related technical fields. 

• Major contributor to impactful open-source projects 

• Develop and experiment with state-of-the-art and large language models (LLMs).
• Work on various areas such as alignment, synthetic data generation, and fine-tuning.
• Design methods, tools, and infrastructure to advance the state of the art in synthetic data generation and utilization.
• Collaborate with a larger and global team.
• Stay up to date with the latest developments in the field.
