Job Description

The Senior Azure DevOps Engineer will be part of the Future Factory team, transforming a large manufacturer's digital solutions. Responsibilities include incident management, root cause analysis, CI/CD tool selection and deployment, continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines, troubleshooting, automation, infrastructure setup, and defining DevOps processes. The role requires integration of standard solutions with existing infrastructure and thorough documentation. This position demands extensive experience with Kubernetes, Azure DevOps, and various cloud technologies.

Must have:

5+ years DevOps/support engineering experience
Kubernetes expertise (complex architectures)
Helm, Kustomize experience
Azure DevOps Pipelines
Docker, Kubernetes, Azure Stack HCI
Linux administration
Cloud networking knowledge (VNETs, Subnets, etc.)
GitOps, scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Documentation and communication skills

Good to have:

Azure certifications
Manufacturing experience
Jsonnet
Azure Stack HCI experience
Python/JS/TS/C# development experience
Video creation skills

Project description

You will be part of the Future Factory team tasked to transform and equip the large Manufacturer with digital solutions, skills and knowledge to strengthen World Class Manufacturing for competitive advantage. You will be responsible to make sure the standard solutions and services deployed integrate with the existing landscape in a proper and documented way.

Responsibilities

Incident management and root cause analysis

Coordination and communication within the dev teams

Selecting and deploying appropriate CI/CD tools

Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CD Pipeline)

Troubleshooting techniques and fixing the code bugs

Encouraging and building automated processes wherever possible

Setting up tools and required infrastructure

Defining and setting development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation

Skills

Must have

Bachelor's or Master 's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent experience

5 years of experience as a DevOps/support engineer supporting heavily complex Kubernetes architectures.

Experience templating external Kubernetes libraries for internal use including Helm, Kustomize.

Ability to transform Kubernetes manifests from Helm & Kustomize to plain Yaml, and vice versa.

Ability to package and maintain platform components like Grafana, Prometheus, Thanos, etc.

Ability to modularise Terraform resource deployments, maintain existing Terraform infrastructure

In-depth knowledge of Linux administration.

Advanced knowledge of IT software, hardware, and network setup.

Advanced knowledge of cloud networking

VNETs, Subnets, NAT, DNS, Application Firewalls, Network Firewalls

Hands-on experience with GitOps, Azure DevOps Pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure Stack HCI/Edge Cluster, Hyper-V Cluster, Debian/Ubuntu/RHEL, Scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python)

Extensive experience in resolving IT queries.

Proficiency in documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics (creating videos is good-to-have but not mandatory).

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient in ArgoCD & understands GitOps practices

Hands-on experience templating application deployments
