Senior Backend Developer, Data Services

The opportunity

Our Unity Data Services team strives to connect data from a multitude of sources into meaningful segments. Success for our team is incorporating more data and entities so that our modelling and reporting teams have critical segments of data. In this role you'll be unifying the data for Unity, bringing together disparate information into a meaningful and accessible platform through highly distributed systems requiring reliable uptimes and high throughput. What you'll be doing

• Build, productionalize, and maintain scalable cloud-based systems
• Design and implement high throughput services spanning all of Unity
• Optimize systems to provide best in class latency and uptime for a highly demanded internal service
• Translate product requirements into a technical design and implement solutions using all resources available
• Test, Deploy and Maintain production ready code

What we're looking for

• Proficient and strong knowledge of Go, Javascript, C++ or Javascript
• Experience working with distributed systems with external database storage
• Experience in API definition and REST architecture
• Understanding of system optimizations and performance analysis
• Experience with high throughput low latency systems

You might also have

• Mobile development experience, ideally in the tech industry
• Exposure to user privacy and security or compliance
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with successful experience collaborating with distributed teams
