Job Summary
ByteDance's Global e-commerce supply chain team is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to build and maintain the supply chain merchant platform. This platform is responsible for market insights, merchant qualification, FBT functions, and business growth strategies. Responsibilities include research and development of warehousing, inventory, and supplier systems, designing scalable architectures for international business needs, resolving technical challenges, and maintaining system quality and stability.
Must Have
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Skilled in Java/Golang/C++
- Familiar with middleware
- Experience in architecture design and implementation
- Deep understanding of distributed systems
- Led design or reconstruction of complex systems

Job Description
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $194000 - $355000 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
