Job Description

Luxoft seeks a Senior BSP Developer/Integrator to work on Android Automotive-based infotainment systems. Responsibilities include developing and integrating BSPs, collaborating with hardware and software teams, ensuring seamless integration of components, staying current with industry trends, and documenting processes. This role involves customizing and building Android kernels, developing kernel modules and drivers, debugging kernel issues, and optimizing kernel performance. The position requires extensive experience with embedded systems, RTOS/QNX, and Android AOSP, along with experience in Automotive projects. The team is distributed, allowing for remote work with potential for on-site customer interactions.

Project description

Luxoft is the major independent Software Services company worldwide. We deliver professional software services in multiple business verticals, especially Automotive. The Digital Cockpit practice as part of Luxoft Automotive delivers stunning user experience to our customers. We develop IVI systems from pixel to silicon and apply agile methodologies to tackle challenging projects in the automotive industry.
Luxoft would be developing an Android Automotive based platform for the next generation of Infotainment systems. The scope would include the complete stack from HMI to middleware and low-level development across the layers of an infotainment software stack. We are looking for people who are skilled, motivated and experienced with Automotive projects to be part of a competence group for our customers with years of experience in Android AOSP and recent experience on Android Automotive.
The project team would be distributed with the possibility to work remotely and also be involved with customer interactions at a later stage of the project.

Responsibilities

Develop and integrate BSPs for automotive systems.

Collaborate with hardware and software teams to define requirements and specifications.

Ensure seamless integration of BSP components with hardware and software.

Stay updated with industry trends and technologies.

Document BSP designs, development processes, and test results.

Participate in code, requirements, and architecture reviews and provide feedback.

Customizing and building Android kernels for specific hardware platforms.

Developing and integrating kernel modules and device drivers.

Debugging kernel issues using tools like GDB and kernel logs.

Optimizing kernel performance and ensuring stability.

Understanding of cloud computing and IoT in automotive;

MCAL experience, developing and configuring MCAL modules for various uC, debugging and optimizing MCAL performance.

CDD experience.

Board bring-up experience.
