The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in procurement, with a strong focus on R&D and IT goods and services in a high-tech environment. Strong technical understanding, negotiation skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word are essential.

What You Will Do
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Buyer to manage and lead procurement activities for our R&D and IT departments. This role is strategic in nature, focusing on negotiation, planning, and leadership to drive cost savings, optimize supplier relationships, and align procurement efforts with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical acumen, enabling them to lead innovative procurement strategies and reduce costs effectively. This position reports directly to the Manager, Global Procurement.
Key Strategic Responsibilities 
  • Develop and execute comprehensive procurement strategies for R&D and IT goods and services, aligning with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Lead complex supplier negotiations to secure optimal pricing, terms, and value-added services.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and implement cost-reduction opportunities while ensuring quality and innovation are maintained.
  • Plan and forecast procurement needs in partnership with R&D and IT teams, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of required goods and services.
  • Act as a key liaison between procurement and other departments, driving alignment and fostering collaborative partnerships.
Operational Responsibilities 
  • Process requisitions and convert them to purchase orders for the R&D and IT teams.
  • Manage vendor onboarding and maintain strong supplier relationships in the technical domain.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulatory requirements, including ISO and SOX standards.
  • Collaborate with the Legal department to finalize contracts, managing redlines and ensuring alignment with organizational policies.
  • Monitor supplier performance, ensuring adherence to contracts and addressing any issues or conflicts.
  • Coordinate with Accounts Payable to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare detailed reports and dashboards to track procurement metrics, cost savings, and supplier performance.

What You Will Bring To Forescout

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or sourcing, with a strong focus on R&D and IT goods and services, preferably in a high-tech environment.
  • Proven expertise in supplier negotiations, contract management, and strategic planning.
  • Strong technical understanding of R&D and IT procurement needs, enabling effective supplier evaluation and cost optimization.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle Cloud) is highly desirable.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to leverage data and analytics in decision-making processes
Travel 
  • Minimal travel may be required for this position
Hours/Shift 
  • This role requires the individual to work a normal shift through 2 PM Central Time (EMEA shift in India) to support relevant internal stakeholders and suppliers.
