GoDaddy is looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to play a critical role in building infrastructure for security teams. You will be part of a dynamic and collaborative environment, where innovation and continuous learning are encouraged. You will work alongside highly skilled professionals, engaging in knowledge sharing and mentorship. By leveraging advanced tools, techniques, and methodologies, you will explore networks, systems, and applications, meticulously seeking out malicious activities. Your expertise in Cloud Environments will enable the organization to stay ahead of cybercriminals, safeguarding critical assets and ensuring information system integrity and confidentiality.
Must have:
  • Collaborate with security architects and engineers to evaluate, test, and implement new security technologies and solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members and promote best practices in data architecture design and implementation.
  • Work with external and internal teams to resolve infrastructure-related issues.
  • Develop and report on Cloud security coverage metrics and remediation plans.
  • Build and deploy operational tools with scalability in mind.

Job Details

The future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time; others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.

This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit an office to meet with your team for events or meetings.

We are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer. You will play a critical role in building infrastructure for security teams. You will be part of a dynamic and collaborative environment, where innovation and continuous learning are encouraged. By leveraging advanced tools, techniques, and methodologies, you will have the chance to explore the depths of our networks, systems, and applications, meticulously seeking out malicious activities. Your expertise in Cloud Environments will enable us to stay one step ahead of cybercriminals, safeguarding our organization's critical assets and ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of our information systems.

What you'll get to do…

  • Collaborate with security architects and engineers to evaluate, test, and implement new security technologies and solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members and promote best practices in data architecture design and implementation.
  • Work with external and internal teams to resolve infrastructure-related issues.
  • Develop and report on Cloud security coverage metrics and remediation plans.
  • Build and deploy operational tools with scalability in mind.

Your experience should include...

  • 5+ years’ experience in an AWS/Cloud environment.
  • Strong proficiency in AWS services.
  • Strong proficiency of AWS CDK.
  • Experience designing, supporting, and delivering large-scale distributed solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and uncover complex problems.

You may also have…

  • Knowledge and experience with CI/CD tools like Gitlab or Jenkins.
  • Experience with ECS/EKS or other container orchestration platforms.
  • Experience working in an agile environment.
  • Experience in providing technical hands-on training workshops.
  • Maintaining and using Cloud security tools such as but not limited to: CSPM, CWPP, CNAPP.
  • Working proficiency with at least one scripting language (Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.).
  • Recognized AWS Certifications.
