Below you will find some information on the responsibilites:
Design, implement, tune and maintain combat systems.
Ownership of the core combat mechanic and specification of associated animation.
Ownership of the development of combat features and improvement efforts, from iteration through delivery to players.
Designing enemy behaviours and abilities, help with AI systems improvements.
Maintain clear and concise documentation for all combat mechanics, balance, and systems.
Utilization of team, player and focus feedback to improve the look and feel of the combat experience.
Collaboration with animation and audio teams to determine general feel and pace of combat actions utilizing third person animations.
Feel free to apply if you have:
Minimum 4+ years of game development experience, with at least 2 years in Combat Design role on a shipped title with PVE experience,
Vast knowledge of Unreal Engine 4/5,
Excellent knowledge of developing melee and range systems,
Great written and verbal communication skills,
Ability to think logically and break down complex problems, with attention to detail.
It would be also nice to have:
Experience developing TPP melee and ranged combat as well as designing AI,
Designing boss battle design would be a plus,
Experience directly tuning the animation graphs and timing windows for attacks, blocks, branching actions, hit reactions and other key combat animations,
Exceptional attention to details,
Fondness for horror.
