The Senior Commercial Analyst will act as a strategic partner to senior stakeholders, analyzing market trends, customer behavior, and business performance across multiple regions. Responsibilities include leading risk & trading analytics for the UK business, identifying growth opportunities, and collaborating with other teams to develop dashboards and reports. The role also involves mentoring junior analysts and driving innovation in data analysis.
Must have:
  • Experience in a Senior Analyst role.
  • 2+ years in a Senior Risk & Trading Analyst role.
  • Broad analytics experience across functional areas.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders with data.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and Tableau.
  • Deep expertise in data modeling and BI.
  • Fluent in English.
Good to have:
  • People / project leadership in the gambling sector.
  • Familiarity with advanced data visualization.
  • Experience in Python, R, or advanced statistical analysis.
  • Mentoring and coaching junior analysts.

 ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Analyst, specialising in Risk and Trading, to join our team. In this role, you will act as a strategic partner to senior stakeholders, leveraging your expertise to analyse complex market trends, customer behavior, and business performance across multiple regions.

You will take ownership of key sportsbook and casino analytical projects, mentor junior analysts, and drive innovation in data analysis and decision-making.

 

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

 

  • Leading risk & trading analytics for the UK business, acting as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders, providing deep insights into market trends, customer behavior, and business performance.
  • Leading in-depth analyses to identify opportunities and key drivers of growth, with specific focus around pricing, risk management and trading performance, ensuring business decisions are data-driven.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Business Intelligence and Data Engineering to develop, maintain, and improve advanced dashboards and reports that track key business metrics and deliver timely insights.
  • Taking ownership of evolving risk and trading analytics capability across the business.
  • Driving innovation in data analysis, proactively identifying new methodologies and best practices to enhance business intelligence capabilities.
  • Analyse customer acquisition, retention, and engagement strategies, offering recommendations for optimizing market performance.
  • Translate complex data sets into clear, actionable insights that drive business decisions at a regional level.
  • Mentoring junior analysts, sharing knowledge, and ensuring high-quality analytical deliverables across the team.
  • Taking ownership of complex domain-related problems, leading their resolution, and implementing best practices in business analysis.
  • Building strategic relationships within and outside the organization to improve knowledge-sharing and industry best practices.

 

OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

 

  • Experience in a Senior Analyst role, with demonstrated expertise in handling complex data analysis and strategic projects.
  • 2+ years of experience in a Senior Risk & Trading Analyst role, with demonstrated experience leading complex analytics projects (pricing, customer profiling).
  • Broad analytics experience operating across more than one functional area.
  • Ability to lead discussions and influence stakeholders by presenting numerical evidence in a clear, actionable manner.
  • Experience in iGaming, FX, crypto, stock trading, e-commerce, or other digital industries preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience with Tableau (or similar data visualization tool).
  • Deep expertise in data modeling, business intelligence, and extracting actionable insights from complex data sets.
  • A relentless commitment to maintaining and improving analytical processes and deliverables across the team.
  • Fluent in English.

NICE TO HAVES

  • People / project leadership taking ownership of complex price and/or risk projects end-to-end, specifically within the gambling sector
  • Familiarity with advanced data visualization techniques (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly).
  • Experience in Python, R, or advanced statistical analysis (e.g., A/B testing, predictive modeling, statistical significance).
  • Proven track record of mentoring and coaching junior analysts, acting as a subject matter expert in business analytics.
