REALTIME is seeking UK-based Senior Nuke Compositors on a freelance basis for an exciting Feature Film production. The role involves all stages of compositing, from preparation to completion, working on individual shots or sequences. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for composition and color, and a passion for delivering high-quality shots. Responsibilities include collaborating with VFX Supervisors and leads, executing briefs creatively and technically within deadlines, and demonstrating proficiency in 2D and 3D tracking, grading, relighting, projection, and deep compositing. Close attention to detail in matching visual references and communicating with the lighting team is essential.
Must have:
  • Work under VFX Supervisors and leads.
  • Execute briefs creatively and technically.
  • Proficient in 2D tracking (Mocha, Nuke).
  • Proficient in 3D camera tracking (Nuke).
  • Skilled in grading and photography.
  • Expert level Nuke experience.
  • Apply final finish, film grain, lens aberration.
  • High level tech checking skills.
  • Work in a small team with tight deadlines.
  • Prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent clear communication skills.
Good to have:
  • Experience with projection.
  • Experience with deep compositing.

Job Details

REALTIME is on the lookout for a number of talented UK based Senior Nuke Compositors on a freelance basis to work on a really exciting Feature Film production.

As a Senior Compositor at REALTIME you will be responsible for all stages of compositing from prep to completion. Working on either a single shot or a sequence of shots within a larger scene.

You should have a great eye for composition and colour and be passionate about delivering the best-looking shots possible.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work as part of a team under the direction of VFX Supervisors and leads.
  • Ability to take and execute a brief, with both good creative problem solving and strong technical knowledge, within an allotted timescale.
  • Have a good working knowledge of all compositing disciplines, including 2D tracking (Mocha and Nuke), 3D camera tracking (Nuke), grading, relighting, projection, and deep compositing.
  • Pay very close attention to concepts and references to match a given look.
  • Communicate feedback to our lighting team to ensure we can match the look as a team.
  • Attend dailies when required.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous professional experience in a similar role working on full CG productions.
  • Very strong skills in grading and photography.
  • A great eye for composition and colour and be passionate about delivering the best-looking shots possible
  • Expert level Nuke experience.
  • Highly adept in applying final finish, film grain, lens kernel aberration etc.
  • High level tech checking skills.
  • Proven ability to work closely in a small team with tight deadlines.
  • Prioritise and manage your time well, being able to complete your own work on time
  • Excellent and clear communication skills.
  • Good understanding of the English language both written and verbal.
