Job Description

As a Senior Creatures Designer based in Manchester, you will work closely with the Lead and with other designers to bring life to Star Citizen’s universe through believable, dynamic, and challenging creatures. You will support the pipeline management from concept to release, collaborating with Animation, Design, and Engineering teams to craft immersive and cohesive creature experiences.
Must have:
  • Design and implement creature AI behaviours, combat mechanics, and encounter systems.
  • Collaborate with Animation, Design, and Engineering to deliver cohesive creature experiences.
  • Script and prototype creature features, ensuring smooth technical integration.
  • Contribute to refining creature pipelines, workflows, and best practices.
  • Participate in design reviews, offering creative solutions and feedback.
  • Professional experience in Creature, Enemy, Encounter, or Systems Design.
  • Shipped or maintained open-world, multiplayer, or live-ops titles.
  • Strong experience with scripting language.
  • Solid understanding of creature design in open-world sandbox gameplay.

As a Creatures Designer, you will work closely with the Lead and with other designers to bring life to Star Citizen’s universe through believable, dynamic, and challenging creatures. You will support the pipeline management from concept to release, collaborating with Animation, Design, and Engineering teams to craft immersive and cohesive creature experiences.

What does a Creature Designer at CIG do?
