Scopely's MAX division seeks a Senior Data Analyst to collaborate with marketing teams on Bingo Bash & Classic Casino. Responsibilities include developing data collection systems, performing analyses to identify trends, answering marketing questions, designing A/B tests, and generating reports. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, experience with SQL and A/B testing, and excellent communication abilities. They will work on optimizing user acquisition, engagement, and monetization. The role requires proficiency in data analysis techniques applied to B2C consumer behavior in mobile apps and advertising.
Must have:
- Experience in data/financial analysis with statistical application to B2C behavior
- Strong SQL skills and A/B testing experience
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Proficiency in data and BI tools (Looker/Google Sheets)
- Understanding of free-to-play gaming
Good to have:
- Experience with Python
- Experience in social free-to-play gaming
- Passion for mobile gaming

Scopely is looking for a Senior Data Analyst, Marketing Analytics to join our MAX gaming division in our Barcelona studio hub on a hybrid basis.

What You Will Do
- Work collaboratively with Marketing teams on our Bingo Bash & Classic Casino titles to deliver actionable insights into our games to further increase user acquisition, engagement and monetisation
- Develop data collection systems & strategies to optimise statistical efficiency & data quality
- Proactively perform a wide range of analyses to identify/interpret trends, issues, and opportunities across UA & Marketing
- Answer marketing-related questions & generate marketing reports through exploratory data analyses and ad-hoc reporting
- Design and implement advanced statistical testing for specific problem-solving needs (e.g. A/B testing)
An experienced Analyst with a great understanding of free-to-play gaming who is upbeat, hard-working, well-organised and collaborative in your approach to Analytics. You’ll have:
- A positive attitude and open-minded approach
- Proven experience as a data or financial analyst applying statistical analysis to B2C consumer behaviours (mobile apps, advertising, market activities)
- Outstanding problem-solving skills, including the ability to:
- Analyse situations and figure out best metrics for a situation
- Conceptualise player behaviours based on data
- Identify meaningful proxies of player behaviours where data doesn’t exist
- Strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and initiative to complete projects
- Experience using SQL (including sophisticated queries from multiple data sources), and crafting, operating and analysing multiple simultaneous A/B tests
- Strong communication and presentation skills, including extensive use of chart and table tools
- Ability to understand and act on changing priorities, and handle multiple projects based on business needs and anticipated impact
- Familiarity with data and BI presentation tools (Looker/Google Sheets or equivalent)
- Strong English language skills are required for this role as we have a highly diverse and global business
- Experience in social free-to-play gaming
- Experience with Python, R
- A passion for playing premier mobile, social and casual games
- Experience in making world-class social/casual/casino games
