The Opportunity
IoT Infrastructure Software is looking for a data Engineer for our Infrastructure Software team. In this role, you will analyze and interpret complex data sets to provide insights to engineering teams. The ideal candidate must have at least some years of experience in data analysis and be able to work independently and collaboratively.

The Silicon Labs Internet of Things (IoT) Infrastructure Software team is an elite group of software engineers focused on developing internal tools and frameworks. Our team has a deep understanding of all aspects of semiconductor software development, including embedded, object-oriented applications, database, and web analytics. What you will do
Good understanding of data architectures, including data models, databases, data warehouses, data lakes, and data lakehouses. Support development of data strategies aligned with business objectives and future growth plans Collaborating with stakeholders to gather data requirements and define data standards and governance policies Evaluating and selecting appropriate technologies and tools for data storage, processing, and analytics Overseeing data integration, ETL processes, and data pipelines to ensure efficient data movement and transformation Ensuring data security, privacy, and compliance with regulatory requirements Monitoring data performance, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing data processes for efficiency and scalability. Writing code in SQL, Python and Terraform. Developing and deploying Infrastructure-As-Code and CI/CD automation (Jenkins).
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Statistics or Mathematics or related field. Minimum 5 years experience in data analysis. Technical proficiency in SQL, Python and/or R. Hands on experience building reports and dashboards with tools such as Power BI and Superset. Hands on experience with glue, redshift. Strong knowledge of how relational databases work and various schema types - normalized, STAR, Snowflake. Experience writing queries for MSSQL server, Postgres, Redshift and AWS Athena or Trino. Exposure to analysis using machine learning related projects is a plus. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
