Job Description

As a Senior Data Engineer at BeReal, you'll construct and manage robust data pipelines to meet evolving business needs, ensuring optimal architecture. You'll contribute to and maintain the production codebase, championing best practices. This role involves full ownership of projects, from initial discussions and estimations to release, including architecture design and technology benchmarking. You'll work in a fast-paced agile environment, collaborating with backend developers, data scientists, and product/marketing teams. The tech stack includes GCP, BigQuery, DBT, Compose (Airflow), Terraform, Amplitude, and Spanner.

Must have:

Build and manage data pipelines
Contribute to production codebase
Own projects from start to finish
Collaborate effectively in an agile environment
Expertise in GCP, BigQuery, and related technologies

Role

Construct and manage robust data pipelines to align with ever-evolving business needs, ensuring optimal architecture support.
Contribute to the codebase, push and maintain your changes in production, and be an evangelist of good coding and data engineering practices
Take ownership of projects from initial discussions to release, including feature estimation & scoping, architecture design, benchmarking of new technologies, product feedback...
Work in a very agile environment with a fast decision process
Collaborate directly with people working on back-end development, data science, mobile games, broad audience mobile apps, product & marketing
