Senior Data Engineer (with Backend Experience)

DXC Luxoft is looking for a Senior Data Engineer with backend development experience to support a key client in the benefits and insurance domain. This role involves building and maintaining scalable data pipelines, integrating various data sources, and developing backend services to support data-driven solutions.

##### Responsibilities

• Design and maintain robust data processing systems, pipelines, and backend workflows
• Build and enhance ETL processes using the Parabola platform
• Perform data mapping, data table modeling, and write complex SQL queries
• Automate and orchestrate data pipelines to ensure data accuracy and availability
• Integrate data from various sources using SFTP, EDI, and CSV file exchanges
• Develop and maintain REST APIs to support system integrations and data services
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate data needs into technical solutions
• Maintain high standards of data quality, security, and compliance

##### Skills

Must have

• 7+ years of experience as a Data Engineer with strong backend development capabilities
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools, especially Parabola
• Proficient in SQL, data modeling, and relational database design
• Experience with data orchestration tools and workflow automation
• Deep understanding of data integration protocols like SFTP, EDI, and CSV
• Proven experience developing and maintaining REST APIs
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English

Nice to have

• Experience working with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Familiarity with benefits, insurance, or healthcare domains
