Job Details
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Data Scientist to join our team and play a crucial role in optimizing the new player experience and overall performance of our games with an emphasis on Warframe Mobile. You will be responsible for analyzing large datasets, building predictive models, and generating actionable insights to improve player engagement and retention.
- New Player Experience Optimization:
- Analyze player behavior during the first-time user experience (FTUE) to identify areas of friction and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and implement A/B testing strategies to optimize onboarding flows, tutorials, and early game mechanics.
- Build predictive models to identify players at risk of churn and develop targeted interventions to improve retention.
- Game Performance Analysis:
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as player engagement, retention, monetization, and virality.
- Analyze player behavior data to understand game mechanics, identify imbalances, and optimize game design.
- Develop dashboards and reports to communicate insights to stakeholders and inform data-driven decision-making.
- Data Mining and Modeling:
- Apply statistical and machine learning techniques to analyze large datasets of player behavior, in-game events, and economic activity.
- Build predictive models to forecast player behavior, optimize game parameters, and personalize the player experience.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines to ensure data quality and accessibility.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with game designers, product managers, and engineers to translate data insights into actionable game improvements.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences through clear visualizations and presentations.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science and mobile gaming trends.
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, with a focus on mobile gaming or a related industry.
- Strong programming skills in Python or R.
- Expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning, and data mining techniques.
- Experience with big data technologies.
- Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools.
- Deep understanding of game mechanics, economies, and player behavior.
- Experience with A/B testing and experimental design.
- Familiarity with game analytics platforms and tools.
- Experience with Mobile game optimization
- Expertise with Database technologies such as (Athena, Mongo, Postgres).
- Familiarity with deep learning techniques.
- Contributions to open-source projects or publications in relevant fields
