Vendavo is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to lead their data science team and integrate data-driven decision-making across the organization. The role focuses on developing Machine Learning Algorithms for Vendavo products, particularly in the pricing domain. Responsibilities include driving innovative solutions, building advanced predictive models, optimization algorithms, and GenAI, and collaborating with product, engineering, and business teams. The ideal candidate will utilize cutting-edge tools in data science, machine learning, and GenAI, and contribute to defining the data science vision and roadmap. Must have:
- 5+ years experience in B2B or B2C SaaS as a data scientist
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Advanced Python proficiency for data manipulation, modeling, and visualization
- Strong understanding of statistical and predictive modeling techniques
- Proficiency in machine learning algorithms (regression, classification, clustering, ensemble methods)
- Strong communication skills for non-technical stakeholders
- Strong self-organizational skills for managing multiple data science initiatives
Good to have:
- Experience with LLM-based applications in Python, including RAG
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, AWS SageMaker) for data storage, processing, and ML deployment

Job Details
We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to lead our data science team and help drive data-driven decision-making across the organization. Data scientists at Vendavo are primarily focused on developing ML Algorithms that are embedded into Vendavo products.
As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be responsible for leveraging your expertise in data science to drive innovative solutions for cutting edge problems within the pricing domain. You will work closely with Cross-functional teams and existing Vendavo Customers to drive analysis of large datasets, research, and development of machine learning models.
THE OPPORTUNITY
- Participate in the development and implementation of innovative data science solutions that directly impact Vendavo’s product offerings and strategic decisions. This includes building advanced predictive models, optimization algorithms, GenAI and driving AI/ML adoption.
- Work closely with product, engineering, and business teams.
- Utilize the latest tools and techniques in data science, machine learning, and GenAI. This role offers the opportunity to stay on the cutting edge of technology and data advancements, including cloud-based platforms, big data processing, and AI-driven automation.
- Helping to define the data science vision, strategy, and roadmap for the organization. This involves identifying high-impact opportunities where data science can add value across the business, from pricing strategies to customer analytics
THE SKILLSET
- 5+ years experience in a B2B or B2C SaaS in data scientist
- Fluent in both written and spoken English.
- Advanced proficiency in Python for data manipulation, modeling, and visualization.
- Strong understanding of statistical modeling, predictive modeling techniques, and machine learning algorithms (e.g., regression, classification, clustering, ensemble methods).
- Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong self-organizational skills to manage participation in multiple data science initiatives.
- Experience with LLM-based applications in Python, including the development of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and with cloud platforms (preferably AWS and AWS SageMaker), for data storage, processing, and machine learning deployment is highly beneficial
