Title : Senior DBA

Location : Bangalore, India

We're looking for a skilled SQL and Cloud Senior DBA who has experience in managing, testing, and deploying computer databases. The ideal candidate should possess knowledge of database management systems and be able to coordinate changes to computer databases. Additionally, they should be able to plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to protect computer databases. Candidates with MS SQL and AWS database administration expertise and experience working with DevSecOps teams to perform software and database CI/CD are preferred. This is a critical role, and we're looking for someone who can ensure mission success.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical SQL Server RDBMS systems to ensure the availability and consistent performance of our corporate applications.
• Responsible for maintaining and sustaining the SQL Server database, ensuring its operational availability and readiness.
• Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.
• Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring system health and performance, to ensure high performance, availability, and security.
• Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
• Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities.
• Manage complex database environments consisting of high availability Always-On Availability Group databases and FCI instances.
• Collaborate on functional and technical designs to identify areas of risk and validate assumptions.
• Troubleshoot large distributed systems.
• Experience in migrating on-prem databases to the cloud.
• Assist in building data for load testing.
  
  

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required

• 8+ years of experience as a DBA in designing, building, configuring, and maintaining SQL Server databases.
• Strong proficiency in MS SQL database management.
• Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Experience with backups, restores, and recovery models.
• Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options in SQL Server.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to organize and plan work independently.
• Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL statements.
• Knowledge of scripting languages for automating various DB-level tasks.
• Experience and/or familiarity with MongoDB, MySQL, and AWS database technologies.

• Background working in software and SaaS Services offerings.
• Background and experience building and managing large global services platforms.
• Hands-on technology driver who is motivated to create innovative solutions to unique problems.
• Proven ability to build, manage and foster a team-oriented environment.
• Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
• Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
• Strong DevOps and DevSecOps skills.
• Ability to solve complex business processes.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain system documentation.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
