Job Description

As a Senior Designer, you will be a hands-on design lead and creative steward, overseeing the creative process from concept to artwork release. Your responsibilities include interpreting brand guidelines for various applications, art directing designs, ensuring accurate and timely completion of high-quality work while adhering to legal and regulatory compliance. You'll collaborate with team members, set expectations, and contribute to project kickoffs. You will also need to create strong and effective internal partnerships. Taking ownership and being accountable for the quality of the work is also a must.
Must have:
  • 5-7 years of graphic design experience in brand/visual identity and packaging.
  • A degree in Graphic Design or related field.
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign).
Good to have:
  • Knowledge of 3D, structure, retail design, toolkit development.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English and Mandarin.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on design lead and creative steward for category brands and the creative conduit for your assigned team.
  • Oversee and lead the creative process from inception to artwork release.
  • Interpret concept and/or brand guidelines, brand experience, packaging and retail design through to artwork release.
  • Support Creative Director, Design Director in creative development for all assigned category brands.
  • Art direct and design with the goal of achieving the optimal creative solutions.
  • Be the creative authority for brand style guides. Adhere to style guide and extend when needed. Challenge status quo, when needed, and identify opportunities to enhance, when possible.
  • Ensure accurate, consistent, and timely completion of high-quality design.
  • Understand and execute artwork that adheres to legal and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain a positive and open dialogue with team members so they are fully informed throughout the project life-cycle. Set clear expectations.
  • Able to contribute to and lead a kick off and pre-production meeting on the evaluation of new projects.
  • Ability to prioritize workload, proactively seek answers to questions, and meet assigned deadlines.
  • Create strong and effective internal partnerships and collaborate across clients and Marks/SGSco.
  • Take ownership and be accountable for the quality of the work.

Required Skills:

  • 5-7 years of experience in a graphic design with a focus, brand/visual identity design, packaging design and brand retail experience
  • 2+ years in production design development
  • A degree in Graphic Design, Product Design, Illustration, Digital or related field
  • Highly knowledgeable in multiple aspects of print production techniques
  • Willingness and flexibility to accept direction
  • Proficient using Mac OS, Adobe Creative Suite (Expert knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign), Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (or Keynote)
  • Knowledge of 3D, structure, retail design, toolkit development is an advantage
  • Fluent in spoken and written English and Mandarin is preferred
