Description
As a senior cloud cost optimization engineer, you will increase visibility to cloud spending by developing a data-driven approach to alerting, reporting and optimization of cloud costs. Engineers must proactively collaborate with business teams to ensure efficient and effective cloud cost utilization.
Responsibilities:
- Create awareness and impact change in cloud infrastructure costs.
- Implement dashboards and automated reporting cost and cost compliance.
- Partner with LZ teams to ensure cost improvements are working.
- Identify and raise technical, business and operational risks and opportunities.
- Demonstrate critical thinking and growth mindset, enthusiastic about learning new technologies quickly and applying the gained knowledge to address business problems.
- Enable team members through training and documentation.
Requirement:
- Total experience should be 4 to 8.
- Minimum 4 years of overall experience with Cloud Services (GCP)
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure, cost reporting and cost optimization in any Cloud, GCP would be preferred.
- Good understanding of the Landing Zone.
- Experience with GCP cloud billing reports, CloudHealth such tools.
- Good understanding with networking concepts (VPC, gateways, DNS, TCP/IP)
- Good Written and verbal communication skills with ability to collaborate effectively.
- Strong Experience with Terraform, GitHub and Jenkins.
- Enable team members through training and documentation. Guide team members in terms of technical challenges.
