With this position we offer

Join the NASDAQ Cloud Operations team as a DevOps Engineer. Your primary objective will be architecting, crafting and supporting various cloud and automation projects. The work environment is fast paced and project based. It is essential that you have potential and strive to grow your craft. You'll help architect and build designs to deploy applications in the cloud. You'll work on developing automation for various critically meaningful projects. You'll help maintain existing automation as well as provide mentorship to help improve existing buildouts and architectures. In addition, a key component to your role will be to identify issues or improvement opportunities.

Your role and responsibilities:

  • Fixing potential issues that may exist in any of our pipelines or applications
  • Harmonize with internal users through ITSM and Jira ticketing system
  • Being the point of escalation for junior cloud operations team members
  • Programming automation including working with serverless code deployments
  • Crafting, architecting, and improving our CI/CD pipelines.
  • Involved in providing mentorship and expertise to cloud and automation projects
  • Operational management of over a thousand cloud accounts
  • Documentation of processes, architecture and tools on our team Confluence page
  • Fully apply cloud technologies when deploying applications in the cloud
  • Deploying infrastructure-as-code
  • Proactively research new technologies and perform proof of concept

We expect you to have

  • At least 10+ years of a relevant professional proven experience.
  • Analytical and logical thinking expertise
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and cross-cultural adaptability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate at all
  • levels using metrics and data
  • Experienced knowledge of AWS
  • Authoritative knowledge of Python
  • Expert knowledge of Git
  • Automation Qualifications

Education Qualification: Bachelor/Master in computer science OR Similar field.

It would be phenomenal if you

  • Experienced knowledge of Terraform
  • Good knowledge of Ansible
  • Familiarity with REST APIs
  • Detailed knowledge on YAML and JSON
  • Good knowledge on CI/CD Pipelines
  • Good understanding on backend programming
  • Financial experience
  • Experience with Javascript
  • Experience with databases
  • Experience with building REST APIs
  • Experience in building web applications
  • AWS Certification

Python proficiency is a must. You will be asked to write python code during the interview process.
