What We Need
The Senior Director of Localization works with the VP of Release Management, Shared Development Studios and is the champion of evolving our language development efforts across our studios. This person will guide the test effort to better define, develop and implement solutions that will seamlessly integrate required languages across 2k games.
What You’ll Do
• Establish, communicate, and maintain the vision for the Localization teams.
• Design, build and maintain an extensible localization framework.
• Work closely with Development and the functional test teams to guide the localization team to define and develop efficient tests.
• Lead and champion the localization leadership team in support of career growth, team mentorship and providing a clear north star.
• Participate in proactive localization project planning, and technical breakdown of projects.
• Collaborate with multi-functional studio leadership to collect and implement opportunities for test and delivery improvement.
• Develop and implement strategies with cross-functional teams particularly with vendors, PD Team, LQA, Marketing, Operations and Legal to improve development efforts and localization schedules leading to release of the product.
• Optimize strategy and usage of external vendors, and freelancers to support high quality localization of outsourced languages.
• Lead change management projects globally, working with an array of stakeholders across the business
What Makes A Great Fit
• 10+ years previous work experience in language or linguistics translation.
• 5+ years in a leadership role as a people focused mentor and lead.
• Experience in architecting and building test localization frameworks, preferably for testing large-scale live service games.
• Ability to offer technical expertise, solution guidance and mentoring to developers on various game / tech teams.
• The ability to influence the culture and a desire to keep communication channels as transparent as possible.
• Experience creating impactful processes to identify and develop talent within the Localization Department.
• Successful track record establishing and leading multi-location development operations as well as experience leading implementation management.

The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $204,700 and $302,980 per Year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an 'at-will position' and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
