This role requires proficiency in cloud platforms, containerization, CI/CD tools, scripting, and automation. Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills are essential. Job Title: Senior Engineer – DORT (GG10)

Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Lead Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be maintaining and improving our products, ensuring the reliability and performance of our systems, and supporting our development and business teams in deploying and managing enhancements. A good understanding of data governance and data management principles is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure Management: Maintain and enhance the infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Deployment Support: Assist development teams with the deployment of applications, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor system performance and solve issues to ensure optimal operation.
  • Automation: Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of software.
  • Security: Implement and maintain security standard processes to protect our systems and data.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure, processes, and procedures. Develop and manage SharePoint sites to facilitate documentation and collaboration.
  • Data Governance: Ensure compliance with data governance policies and standards. Implement and maintain data governance frameworks to manage data quality, data lineage, and data privacy.
  • Administration: Perform administrative tasks such as managing user accounts, permissions, and roles within various systems.
  • Data Upload: Oversee and manage data upload processes, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Access Management: Implement and manage access controls to ensure secure and appropriate access to systems and data.
  • IT Service Management (ITSM): Use ITSM standard processes to manage and deliver IT services effectively. Implement and maintain ITSM tools and processes to ensure efficient service delivery and support.
  • Data Quality Act as a centralized team to support analysis, fixing, and reporting of data quality issues.
  • Collaborate with partners across departments to address gaps and pain points and improve the maturity of the overall process.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
  • Scripting and Automation: Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, etc.) and experience with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform).
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Collaboration: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a DevOps or similar role, with a solid understanding of software development and system administration. Experience working in agile teams with business partners, developers, and testers.
  • Data Governance: Knowledge of data governance frameworks and standard methodologies. Experience with data quality management, data lineage, and data privacy.
  • Administration: Experience in managing user accounts, permissions, and roles.
  • Data Upload: Experience in managing data upload processes and ensuring data integrity.
  • Access Management: Experience in implementing and managing access controls.
  • Documentation: Strong documentation skills, including the ability to create and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure, processes, and procedures.
  • SharePoint: Experience in developing and managing SharePoint sites to facilitate documentation and collaboration.
  • IT Service Management (ITSM): Experience with ITSM tools and processes, such as ServiceNow, to manage and deliver IT services effectively. Manage the issue in ServiceNow and communicate updates timely.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
