About The Role
DNVs Energy Use Services group is seeking a Senior Level Energy Efficiency Engineer. As a valued member of our team, youll be responsible for supporting our portfolio of energy efficiency programs across the United States through implementation, establishment of best practices for the organization, and development of innovative new program service offerings. In addition, youll be the team lead for the engineering group that includes four other engineers.
This position can be based out of any DNV office or remote from anywhere in the Continental U.S.
What You'll Do
- Support Engineers with New Measure Development
- Support Engineers with technical guidance
- Evaluate new technologies through relationships with manufacturers and the market
- Review and verify technical merits of business customer energy efficiency applications, including calculation of energy savings and verification of equipment specifications
- Support Engineering work for programs in need of short term engineering support
- Customer site inspections to verify the installation of energy efficient equipment. Interact with customers to address questions or concerns about installed equipment or programmatic information
- Database queries and program data analysis
- Educate contractors about programs
- Actively engage with the Energy Use Services team and other colleagues across functions, sharing knowledge and ideas in support of innovation and customer success
- Meet regularly one on one with team members as well as host a team meeting where members update each other
- Ensure team members are meeting their goals and coach them on career growth
- Meet regularly with the Head of Section to discuss engineering projects, innovation initiatives and team progress

As required by the Pay Transparency laws in Colorado, New York City, California, Washington, and Connecticut, DNV provides a reasonable compensation range for roles that may be hired in those locations. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the states of Colorado, New York City, NY, California, Washington, and Connecticut only, the range of starting pay for this role is $115,000 - $155,000.
About You
What is Required
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Energy Efficiency
- A Bachelors degree in engineering or equivalent. An educational emphasis on energy and/or energy experience is strongly preferred
- Experience conducting energy savings calculations including working knowledge of tools and energy software is required
- Proficiency with database and analysis tools is required
- Intermediate Excel, Word and PowerPoint knowledge required
- Excellent written and oral English communication skills for customer communication required
- Individual should display a positive, team-oriented attitude to match our friendly work environment
