Job Description

As a Senior Engineer - Graphics Driver Development at Qualcomm, you will design, develop, modify, and validate software, focusing on graphics drivers for Adreno GPUs. The role involves collaborating with hardware and software teams, and ISVs to develop and support compliant and optimized graphics drivers, ensuring a competitive edge. You will be involved in understanding the graphics rendering pipeline, APIs Inter-Op, and other Multimedia IPs. This role involves problem-solving, and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively. You will work under supervision.
Good To Have:
  • Hands-on experience with Game development and Unreal Engine 5.
  • Prior experience with implementing/supporting Graphics drivers.
  • Strong debugging skills.
  • Experience with understanding the graphics rendering pipeline, APIs Inter-Op, and other Multimedia IPs.
  • Performance profiling experience in DirectX/Vulkan games.
Must Have:
  • 2+ years of experience in Graphics APIs (DX11/DX12/Vulkan).
  • Strong design experience with OOPS & C++ development experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Experience with programming languages like C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

•    Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

• 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Preferred Qualifications and Responsibilites of the Role
6-8 years of experience in Graphics APIs - any of DX11/DX12/Vulkan.
Looking for a developer with strong design experience with OOPS, & C++ development experience.

Hands-on experience with Game development, experience with Unreal Engine 5, GPU based rendering techniques.
Prefer prior development experience in implementing/supporting Graphics driver for standards (Direct3D, Vulkan, OpenCL). Strong debugging skills would also be preferred
Will work with GPU Software & Hardware teams, and ISVs to develop/support compliant and optimized Graphics drivers for Adreno GPUs for a competitive edge.
Prefer prior experience with understanding the graphics rendering pipeline, APIs Inter-Op, and other Multimedia IPs.
Performance profiling experience in DirectX/Vulkan games is preferred

Level of Responsibility:

•    Works under supervision.    

•    Decision-making may affect work beyond immediate work group.

•    Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey information. May require basic negotiation, influence, tact, etc.

•    Tasks do not have defined steps; planning, problem-solving, and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively.
