The Senior Engineer IT Asset Manager will be responsible for providing asset management support for complex organizational and hardware/software areas. This includes supporting the entire lifecycle of IT assets, maintaining a detailed and up-to-date inventory, participating in regular audits, and managing software licenses to ensure compliance. The role also involves contributing to IT asset budget management, monitoring costs, and collaborating with vendors to manage contracts and warranties. The engineer will also work to resolve incidents related to IT assets and proactively monitor assets to prevent issues that could disrupt operations.

Job Details

What success looks like in this role:

• Provides asset management support across larger and more complex organizational and/or hardware / software areas.
• Supports the entire lifecycle of IT assets, ensuring assets are effectively deployed and tracked.
• Ensures maintenance of detailed and up-to-date hardware and software inventory.
• Participates in regular audits to ensure data accuracy, tracking asset assignments and transfers and ensuring proper documentation is maintained.
• Manages software licenses, ensuring compliance with vendor agreements and legal requirements.
• Tracks software usage, identifying and eliminating unused or underused software to avoid over-licensing and to reduce costs.
• Contributes to IT asset budget management, including procurement costs, maintenance expenses and depreciation.
• Collaborates with Fulfillment and Finance & Accounting to ensure asset purchases align with budgetary guidelines.
• Monitors costs, including purchase, maintenance and disposal expenses to identify cost saving opportunities.
• Works with vendors to help manage contracts, service agreements, warranties and maintenance schedules.
• Helps manage incidents related to IT assets (i.e., hardware failures, license issues), working to resolve them quickly and efficiently.
• Proactively monitors assets to prevent potential issues that could disrupt operations.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

BA/BS degree and 4-6 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience

**Must be willing to be onsite 3 days a week
