Crunchyroll seeks a Senior, Engineering Operations professional to provide critical support to its Operations and Engineering organizations. Responsibilities include collaborating on special projects (onboarding, tooling training, runbook creation), driving organizational agreement through metrics analysis, promoting process standardization, supporting Engineering Town Halls, maintaining tools and systems, ensuring best practices, working with engineering leadership, and collaborating cross-functionally. The role involves managing engineering metrics, developing and documenting processes, tracking high-priority initiatives, managing Town Hall agendas, improving overall processes, and overseeing special projects. The ideal candidate possesses 8+ years of relevant experience, strong communication skills, experience with large engineering organizations, and project management capabilities.

About the role

We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative individual to join our team. You will provide critical support to the Operations and Engineering organizations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Role Highlights include:
    • Collaborating with team members on special projects, such as: Onboarding programs, Tooling training, Creating, maintaining, and improving engineering runbooks 
    • Driving agreement across the organization by sharing engineering metrics and defining gaps
    • Helping promote the standardization of processes across the Engineering organization
    • Supporting the Engineering team Town Halls and maintaining the Town Hall content calendar 
    • Assisting with maintaining and auditing tools, systems, and processes to ensure efficiency and alignment
    • Working with other operational team members to ensure best practices, and alignment across the organization
    • Working closely with engineering leadership to share transparency and progress across initiatives
    • Collaborating cross-functionally with teams outside of Product & Engineering, such as Learning and Development, IT, and People Teams

A day in the life of our Senior, Engineering Operations:

  • You will manage Engineering metrics and supporting documentation
  • You will develop, standardize, document, and communicate Engineering processes and best practices
  • You will partner with Principal, Operations Engineering to ensure high-priority initiatives, projects, and action items are effectively tracked and managed
  • You will manage of the agenda for monthly Engineering Town Hall meetings
  • You will collaborate with other members of the Operations team to improve and standardize overall Product and Engineering processes
  • You will assist oversight of special projects within Engineering as defined by the Principal, Engineering Operations

In the role of Senior Operations Analyst, Engineering, you will report to the Principal, Engineering Operations.

About You

  • 8+ years of relevant work experience in Operations with a focus on engineering or Technical Program Manager
  • Experience communicating to all levels of an organization, both internally and externally
  • You have experience working in or with large Engineering organizations
  • You can handle several simultaneous projects while demonstrating urgency and bring an overall program to completion
  • You are a team player; you can succeed individually and support your teammates when needed and help them to succeed
  • You enjoy putting together documentation and processes that help help others to succeed
  • You are never satisfied and are always looking for ways to improve and improve our processes
  • You care about culture and bring elements of fun and levity into your day-to-day

Our Operations team is the heartbeat of the Product and Engineering organization. We work together to ensure our department of over 400 individuals is operating.  We partner with Product and Engineering Leadership to ensure we are supporting the needs of their teams.

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Crunchyroll’s Total Rewards offerings for employees.
