Job Description
The Senior Equipment Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, sustaining, and improving equipment on remanufacturing lines. This includes supervising a team of maintenance technicians, performing diagnostics and repairs on automation systems, production machinery, and test equipment, and leading equipment upgrades. The role requires expertise in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and implementing process improvements. Responsibilities also include creating training materials, maintenance routines, and managing spare parts inventory to minimize downtime. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a background in electro-mechanical systems maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
Must have:
- 5+ years experience in electro-mechanical systems maintenance
- Supervisory experience (1+ years)
- BS in Engineering (or equivalent)
- Troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Excellent communication skills
- Understanding of electrical installations and codes
Good to have:
- Experience with DMAIC or 8D methodologies

The Senior Maintenance Equipment Engineer will be part of maintaining, sustaining, and improving
equipment on the Remanufacturing lines.
- Supervise a small team of maintenance technicians to maintain, operate, diagnose, analyze and repair tooling and equipment, including but not limited to: Automation systems, production machinery, I/O devices, Test equipment with temperature controllers, current and power meters, PLCs, DMMs, Power Supplies etc.
- Ensure all operations are executed with highest level of planning and safety including monitoring and controlling KPIs to prevent injuries and downtime
- Lead equipment upgrades with a focus on safety, serviceability, reliability and process capability.
- Become owner / subject matter expert to drive equipment-related process improvement including detailed troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Build training material, maintenance routines, service bulletins, and related documentation related to cradle to grave equipment life cycle management
- Identify equipment critical spare parts and ensure sufficient coverage to prevent extended downtime situations
- Provide hands-on support to maintenance team to troubleshoot and resolve extended downtime situations.
- 5+ years of experience in any combination of design, construction, commissioning, or maintenance of Electro or Electro-Mechanical systems in a manufacturing (or equivalent) environment. Professional Engineering experience is preferred in industrial/commercial and or lab/R&D environments, with 1+ years of experience in a supervision role.
- BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Computer Engineering or the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Understanding of Maintenance Management Systems interfaces and devices
- Must be familiar with basic Electrical Installations, and electrical codes.
- Ability to consult manuals, read and interpret circuit diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
- Structured problems solving methodologies (DMAIC, 8D, etc.)
