Job Description

As a Senior Finance Business Analyst at Nine, you will play a crucial role in driving the financial performance of the News and Current Affairs division. Your responsibilities will include delivering month-end reporting and analysis, analyzing monthly expenses to ensure budget alignment, presenting financial performance and forecasts, driving process improvements, and overseeing staff approval paperwork. You will also be responsible for developing detailed annual departmental budgets. This role requires a qualified accountant with strong analytical skills, proficiency in Excel, and the ability to communicate effectively. The position is a 12-month parental leave contract.
Must have:
  • Qualified Accountant (CA/CPA).
  • Strong Excel proficiency.
  • Exceptional analytical and reconciliation skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work efficiently.
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills.
Good to have:
  • Experience using D365 or TM1 is preferred.

Join Nine's Television Finance team as a Senior Finance Business Analyst on a rewarding 12-month parental leave contract!   Reporting to the Head of Business Partnering News & Current Affairs, you'll be instrumental in driving the financial performance of our News and Current Affairs division through expert reporting, forecasting, and strategic insights, while fostering company-wide finance and business collaboration. Day to day you will:
  • Deliver month-end reporting and analysis for News & Current Affairs programs, liaising with key stakeholders
  • Analyse monthly expenses, ensuring budget alignment and identifying efficiencies
  • Present financial performance and forecasts to management, suggesting and implementing improvements
  • Drive process improvements and streamline business requirements within News & Current Affairs
  • Oversee staff approval paperwork for News & Current Affairs, ensuring compliance
  • Develop detailed annual departmental budgets, identifying cost efficiencies
