Senior Finance Lead

About the role: 

We are seeking our first Senior Finance Leader to help build out the finance function for Character.AI. As a Senior Leader of Finance, you’ll play an integral role in all areas of finance – managing our budgeting process, forecasting the business, reporting, cash management and treasury. 

What you will bring to the role: 

Table stakes for this role is a breadth of FP&A experience, coupled with excellent modeling skills and a focus on the details. The ideal candidate will also have a passion for working cross-functionally with leaders in different departments, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.  

Requirements: 

• 10+ years of FP&A experience; experience building and scaling FP&A functions at high-growth software companies strongly preferred 5+ years directly managing people and teams 

• Experience operating at all levels with the ability and drive to be hands-on while also keeping an eye on the strategic big picture. 

• Advanced excel and google sheet user. 

• Familiarity with data analytics software (for example: looker, amplitude, mixpanel) preferred. 

• ERP experience (for example: NetSuite, Oracle, SAP) required. 

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related Business field;  MBA a plus

Compensation Range: $150K - $250K
