Position overview

Autodesk is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Finance Business Partner to support the PDMS (Product Development & Manufacturing Solutions) Strategy Team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in driving strategic financial planning, analysis, and decision-making processes to ensure the successful execution of PDMS initiatives. This position requires a blend of strategic thinking, financial expertise, and business acumen to support the team in achieving its goals.

Responsibilities  

  • Serve as the lead finance partner to the VP of Industry Strategy in PDMS, overseeing budgeting, planning, and forecasting for the organization

  • Develop financial models and lead analysis of topline metrics including Annualized Recurring Revenue, billings, revenue and other new financial metrics that are essential to measuring the success of the business

  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making processes

  • Prepare critical financial analyses and executive level presentations to help stakeholders and investor relations understand the context or 'why' behind our financial results

  • Manage the strategy team’s budget to ensure budget is leveraged in the best way possible and within forecast expectations

  • Facilitate effective communication within various finance departments and across other divisions to drive collaboration and achieve common objectives

  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulatory requirements

  • Manage a team of financial analysts by providing guidance, setting priorities, and removing roadblocks

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field

  • 8+ years of related experience

  • Prior experience in Finance, Investment Banking or Consulting

  • Experience building financial models, preferably for subscription-based companies

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with senior leadership

  • Strong aptitude for, experience with, or desire to learn financial software (e.g. Anaplan, Power BI etc.)
