Senior Financial Analyst

Steer Studios is seeking an Accountant to support in Accounting tasks. As Accountant, s/he will work closely with Finance Business partner and Accounting team to oversee and managing various financial activities, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of SGG financial records.

Functional Accountabilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with applicable accounting standards and regulations
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end and year-end closing activities
• Review and reconcile general ledger accounts, identifying and resolving any discrepancies or issues
• Collaborate with department heads and executives to develop annual budgets and forecasts
• Monitor and analyze budget-to-actual variances, providing insightful explanations and recommendations to improve financial performance
• Assist in the preparation of financial projections and long-term financial plans
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting principles, standards, and regulations
• Support internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation, explanations, and insights
• Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard assets and maintain data integrity
• Conduct detailed financial analysis, identifying trends, opportunities, and risks
• Prepare and present reports to management, highlighting key findings and recommending appropriate actions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the financial impact of proposed projects, initiatives, or investments
• Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency enhancement within the accounting function.
• Streamline financial processes and workflows, leveraging technology and automation where applicable.
• Stay updated with industry best practices and accounting standards, proactively recommending changes or updates to existing policies and procedures

Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience & Skills

• +5 years’ experience as Accountant or similar role, with a strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and regulations
• Proficient in Excel and Power Point
• Proficient knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Advanced proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality
