Job Description

The Senior Financial Representative, Revenue Assurance at Zscaler will manage month-end close activities, ensuring accurate and timely revenue recognition per US GAAP. Responsibilities include reviewing daily orders, assessing revenue recognition criteria, preparing revenue variance analyses, and reconciling AR & Deferred Revenue balances. The role also involves ensuring accurate accruals, collaborating with the AR team on billing and collections, and assisting with special projects. The ideal candidate will have an MBA and 1-3 years of relevant experience in a large corporate setting, a strong understanding of US GAAP revenue recognition, and hands-on ERP system experience (NetSuite and Salesforce preferred).

We're looking for an experienced Senior Financial Representative, Revenue to be part of our Revenue Assurance team. Reporting to the Manager- Revenue Assurance, you'll be responsible for:

  • Manage month-end close activities, ensuring accurate and timely revenue recognition per US GAAP, including reviewing daily orders and assessing revenue recognition criteria
  • Prepare customer-wise revenue variance analysis and reconcile AR & Deferred Revenue balances monthly, including posting long-term/short-term deferred revenue journal entries
  • Ensure accurate accruals for SLAs, rebates, and reserves, and assist in reviewing monthly and quarterly MIS reports related to billing and revenue
  • Collaborate with the AR team on billing, collections, and resolving payment issues impacting revenue recognition
  • Assist with special assignments from Headquarters and support the Senior Manager of Revenue with additional tasks as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • MBA with 1-3 years’ relevant experience in a multinational or other big corporate house
  • Ability to understand and effectively apply technical accounting guidance for Revenue Recognition as it relates to revenue arrangements
  • Hands-on Experience with ERP systems, including NetSuite and Salesforce a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple projects and tasks
