Senior FinOps Account Manager

We are looking for a seasoned Senior FinOps Account Manager to work with and empower our customers by providing cost intelligence observations, facilitating conversations around causes and solutions to cost growth, and help guide them on their FinOps journey.

All in all, you will be able to cover topics like specific resource usage with engineering, tagging strategies with operations, COGS with finance, or unit cost trends with the executive...all in the same day!

What will you do? 

• Provide cost intelligence observations by analysing billing and usage data
• Facilitate conversations around causes and solutions for cost growth with customers
• Consult on specific resource usage and optimisation strategies with engineering teams
• Advise operations teams on effective tagging and labelling strategies
• Discuss financial metrics, such as COGS and unit cost trends, with finance and executive teams
• Analyse complex datasets using advanced Excel functions to provide actionable insights
• Leverage data to help customers achieve better financial and operational outcomes

Must haves 

• 3+ years of experience consulting on AWS, GCP and/or Azure services/solutions
• You have developed, documented, and/or communicated financial analysis and optimisation recommendations for cloud services with both tech and finance teams
• You understand the basics of spend / resource reservations across the various clouds
• You understand the benefits (and limitations) of tagging / labelling and can consult with customers on tagging strategies, when necessary 
• You love data. Helping customers achieve better outcomes by leveraging data is something that energises you on a daily basis
• You can analyse complex datasets in Excel using advanced concepts like vlookups, index matches, named ranges, pivot tables
• Fluent English (C1/C2)

Nice to haves 

• FinOps Certified Practitioner
• At least one AWS, GCP and/or Azure Certification
• Experience in building BI dashboards (Quicksight, Looker, Domo, Tableau, etc...)
• Experience authoring SQL
• Conceptual understanding of GAAP accounting
