Senior Frontend Engineer - Bengaluru/Hybrid

We are seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join the Hasura DDN team.

Hasura DDN is a globally distributed and always available network of API and data connectivity servers that delivers real-time data over GraphQL or REST APIs blazing-fast and securely. Our vision with Hasura DDN is to make APIs accessible to every developer by radically simplifying the API authoring process and eliminating the burden of managing API infrastructure.

Engineering Org at Hasura operates with a great deal of product ownership, with each team closely aligned with top-level business objectives. You will be an important partner in this position to drive key business and product goals. You will work on building highly scalable distributed systems to the core product and helping execute the vision of making data access 10x easier by building easy-to-use, planet-scale, low-latency, reliable Cloud services. This role is for the Hasura DDN Control Plane team.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the entire dev life-cycle from pitch/prototyping through definition and design to build, integration, QA and delivery.
• Building reusable UI through best practices with great DX for the dev team.
• Work with product and designers to iterate on product UX.
• Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to team members during technical problem-solving and code reviews.
• Identify bottlenecks and improve the application performance.
• Plan and execute mid to long-term strategies that benefit the team and the product.
• Understand engineering metrics and seek to improve them.
  
  

We’d Love To Hear From You If

• You are an experienced frontend engineer (>5 years) who can build amazing user experiences. You are able to take initiative, engage stakeholders, and empower other engineers in order to achieve goals.
• You have experience building performant, reusable, and testable components using React and associated tooling (webpack, different ways of handling CSS etc.)
• You have a thirst for evolving client-side architectures and modern web technology stacks.
• You take delight in shipping amazing products and being obsessive about the little things around user experience.
• You have some production experience with functional, typed languages/tools for front-end development (even side projects are good!).
• Strong communication skills in person, on paper and in code.
• Experience and comfort working in a collaborative environment like Slack, GitHub etc.
• You love to make an impact and thrive in small, collaborative, energetic teams.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals: A Bachelors in CS or equivalent experience

• You engage in community activities and like speaking at meetups, and conferences and sharing what you’ve learnt.
• You’ve worked on building developer tools at work, in open-source projects or as a side gig :)
